Sumner Melvin Crane

Sumner M(elvin) Crane, 89, 1130 17th Avenue South, died Sunday in a local rest home.
     Born at Neihart, he attended schools in Belt and worked on his family’s farm in the Belt area.  In 1947, he moved to Great Falls, where he worked on various jobs as a laborer before retiring in 1960.  Crane had been a resident of the rest home since December, 1981. …. Crane lived in Cascade County all of his life.  He was a WW1 veteran.  He was a farm owner, and he clerked in a dry-goods store. -- Seaman
