Paul Charles Burhan

Rev. Charles Burhans was born on 19 October 1856 at Burlington, Iowa.   He was in the Congregational Church.  He pastored churches in the Midwest and was American Missionary Society Secretary for the Oklahoma Territory.  He was also a Postmaster, and inventor.  Rev. Burhans died on 23 June 1934.
     He was an effective evangelist and church builder, always leaving local congregations in better condition when he left than when he entered.
    His last pastorate was in Sanford, Florida.  He is buried in the Fort Myers, Florida cemetery.
