Horace Smith

Smith was Indiana state chairman in 1962.  In 1963, he was the state secretary.  He was elected to the Hagerstown, Indiana school board and was its secretary.  Around 2010, he was running a television repair shop in Hagerstown.
     In 1952, Smith arranged for broadcasts on his local radio stations before the election.  He reported that 52 quarter-hour shows were run on WCBC, 24 quarter-hour shows and one half-hour show were run on WCTW; a record with a Hamblen-for-President pitch was played twice on WCBC and 8 times on WCTW.  The record was provided by national chairman Gerald Overholt.
