Dale H. Learn

Dale H. Learn, the Prohibition Party nominee for Vice-President in 1948, resides on his farm located just outside the borough of East Stroudsburg, Stroud Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.  He is nationally known as an outstanding churchman and speaker.  He has been an active worker in the fight for prohibition and clean government during his entire adult life.  He has been a Realtor for the past 26 years.
     He was born on a Pennsylvania mountain farm, December 8, 1897, and was educated in the public schools of Monroe County.  He is a graduate of East Stroudsburg State Teachers College, Dickinson College, and Dickinson School of Law.  Dickinson has awarded him the following degrees:  A.B., L.L B., and A.M.  He is a former trustee of the East Stroudsburg Teachers College and is the youngest man ever to serve as President of the Pennsylvania Real Estate Association.
     Active in church work, he is a local preacher of the Methodist Church, Secretary of the Official Board of the Church, and an officer of the Sunday School.  He is an active member of the Peace Commission and of the Evangelical Commission of the Philadelphia Conference of the Methodist Church.
     Fraternally, he is a Mason, a member of the P.O.S. of A., and of the American Legion.  He served in World War I.  He is a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma college fraternity and has been active in numerous civic and religious organizations.
